Michael R. Cook earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida and then earned his Juris Doctor degree from Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Florida. While studying for the Law Degree, Michael interned in the felony R.O.C. (Repeat Offender Court) for the 4th Judicial Circuit Office of the Public Defender.
After earning his J.D., Michael joined the Office of the Public Defender for the 18th Judicial Circuit where he managed one of the heaviest dockets in Brevard County. He has tried multiple jury and non-jury trials, both in the Criminal and Civil arenas, and has worked in the Criminal Defense of over 1,500 cases.
He is a trial attorney who works both Civil and Criminal cases for our firm. His experience in handling a large caseload is a great asset to our clients as is his keen in-depth understanding of the myriad of complex issues involved with litigation in both areas.
Michael is a member in good standing with the Florida Bar, the Brevard County Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
